Dear BUCLD Attendees,
We are less than a week away from our first-ever in-person & semi-online conference! We want to remind you of a few things before you arrive.
1. We will have representatives from the NSF and the NIH who are available for consultation appointments. Appointments can be scheduled using these links:
NIH Signup: https://forms.office.com/g/cAis6uUjvC
NSF Signup: https://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/NSFBookingsLinguisticsandDLIDELP…
2. BUCLD hosts PUMP (Pop Up Mentoring Program)
We are currently looking for mentors to volunteer to sign up! Due to far more mentees than mentors, we are at risk of cancelling this year’s PUMP. Serving as a mentor is a one time, one hour commitment and a great way to support a junior scholar. If you are interested, please consider signing up here: https://www.bu.edu/bucld/conference-info/pump/
Deadline is October 31st.
3. Poster printing
If you need poster printing, the Fed Ex on campus<https://local.fedex.com/en-us/ma/boston/office-5012> (115 Cummington Mall) offers same-day printing. As a reminder, we recommend a poster size of 36” width x 48" height.
4. Information for talk presenters
As a reminder, all talk presenters are responsible for bringing a device to present their slides. We require HDMI connection- if you do not have an HDMI port on your device, please bring your own adaptor.
5. Masks are available
We are offering face masks for anybody who needs them. They will be available at the Registration Desk during the conference days.
We look forward to welcoming you to campus next week! The forecast appears to be sunny and pleasant, and we hope you will enjoy the lovely Fall scenery in Boston.
Warm regards,
The BUCLD 48 Organizing Committee
