Hi everyone. Monica wanted to pass on this message about the Tolkien talk at MIT that was discussed at the BULA meeting. Apparently, it was actually LAST year, but was erroneously listed on the Linguistics program web site as being this year. Apologies for the error in the listing, it wasn't obvious from the MITLings page what year this was happening. I regret to inform you that the information on the Linguistics department page was flawed and the Tolkien talk was, in fact, last year. It looked pretty interesting and resulted in a course at Harvard. Anyway, what this means for the group is, we will not be having a field trip.
