Dear BULAers,
I hope you are having a relaxing summer!  A graduate student in the linguistics program is looking for help with Arabic.  See below, and get in touch with her if you are interested.

Greetings fellow linguists!

My name is Dominique. I'm currently in the MA applied linguistics program at BU. I am in need of a highly proficient Arabic user to assist me on some of the components of my research study. In this study, I am investigating the role of spatial bias in a phenomenon known as the "SNARC" effect on Arabic-English bilinguals. Most of the work can be done remotely; however, some of it would take place either on BU's campus or at another school very close by. Below are the tasks which are needed to be filled:

-translate documents from English to Arabic
-monitor Arabic-version of the experiment/assist Arabic-speaking participants in Arabic
-translate questionnaire responses from Arabic to English
*note: There may be an opportunity for UROP funding. My faculty advisor is Charles Chang. Please note your interest in this opportunity in your email.

If you fit the qualifications and one/more of these jobs interest you, please email me directly at dlopicco@bu.edu

Thank you,
Dominique
