Hi everyone, Hope to see you at Game Night tonight at 5pm in Room B02 of 621 Comm. Ave. In the meantime, we've been asked to pass on the following information about a job opportunity which may be of some interest. ------ "Dear Members of the BU Linguistics Association, Teach for the Future is seeking language teachers and tutors who are passionate about teaching and studying foreign languages. We are specifically writing to members of the Linguistics Association because we believe those who are passionate about studying language have the potential to be very passionate and understanding language teachers. Our company provides part-time and full time teaching opportunities for teachers who are passionate about English teaching. In terms of part-time opportunities, we are looking for online English teachers and tutors for students K-12. Hours are flexible, but typically teachers can choose how many hours they would like to teach between the hours of 6am-10am which works well with many students who teach in the morning and are finished with work by 9am or 10am. Compensation for teachers typically ranges from 15-20 USD an hour depending on experience. We provide a community and professional development/language study opportunities for our part-time teachers based in Boston. In terms of full time opportunities, we are looking for educators who are interested in teaching abroad in China. We support teachers in terms of obtaining legal working visas, and by providing opportunities for professional development, language and cultural training. For students who have never taught before, we provide plans that allow students to become TEFL certified (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) – this makes it a lot easier to continue work as a language teacher. If you are interested in learning more about part time, full time, and certification opportunities we have available, please reach out to us at boston@teachfuture.org .
