Thanks to everyone who was able to attend our first meeting. We received a lot of great ideas for events and activities for the semester.

The first of our monthly discussions will be held on Thursday, October 6th at 7pm in 621 Comm. Ave Room: B02 (basement of the linguistics office) and we will be discussing language myths. Some myths we considered at the meeting include the idea that some languages are more beautiful than others, some language are harder or more logical than others, or that the meanings of words should not be allowed to vary or change. Come with any interesting myths you are interested in, or have heard about!
