"Hi everyone,

I want to let you know about the talk on "Building and Evaluating Conversational Agents" that we are having on Monday 11-12 at Hariri during our usual AI Research Meeting: https://www.bu.edu/hic/2018/11/28/air-joao-sedoc/. I thought the talk can be interesting and relevant for some, given the pervasiveness of conversational agents nowadays: Siri, Alexa, Google Home, etc; and also the yearly Amazon Alexa Challenge.

The talk is by Joao Sedoc a PhD student at University of Pennsylvania whom I met while I was doing a Postdoc there. He has been working on this area of building conversational agents for his PhD thesis, and he taught a seminar class at Penn on building these conversational agents, using Alexa as a testbed for deploying the agents (very cool).
