Dear BUCLD 36 speakers and alternates:
The Proceedings of the 36th annual Boston University Conference on Language Development will be published in the spring by Cascadilla Press. All speakers and alternates are invited to contribute their papers to the proceedings, which will be available from Cascadilla Press in the spring of 2012. Posters will be published in a separate proceedings supplement.
Please keep in mind that this e-mail is being sent to all speakers and alternates. If your paper has multiple authors, only one author (usually the first author) should be coordinating with us. Please have this decided in advance so we don't receive different drafts of the same paper.
To publish your paper in the proceedings, you will need to upload a PDF file of your paper by January 25 along with an abstract for your paper and a scan of your signed publication rights form. Also mail your signed publication rights form (signed in ink on paper by ALL authors) by January 25 to the BUCLD office. The volume editors will check your paper's formatting and let you know what, if any, changes need to be made. Once you have a final PDF file of your paper, you will need to mail a printout to the BUCLD office.
If you have published in the BUCLD Proceedings before, you may notice that we have made a few changes that we hope you will like:
* the deadline is later
* you don't need to mail your paper until the formatting is approved
* the page limit is now 13 pages instead of 12 (The limit for keynote and plenary speakers is 30 pages and 20 pages for lunch symposium speakers)

The published proceedings are for oral presentations only. If you presented both a poster and an oral presentation, you will have the option to publish a paper based on your poster in the BUCLD 36 Proceedings Supplement, an online-only publication. Information regarding this is forthcoming.
Everyone who registered for the full three days of the conference will receive a free copy of the proceedings. All authors who contribute papers to the proceedings are entitled to a 20% discount on additional copies of the proceedings. Just mention on your order that you are a contributor to the volume. (This discount does not apply to shipping costs and cannot be combined with the prepublication discount.)
