We'd like to remind you to send in your reminiscences about past BUCLD conferences, should you have any. We already have a few gems, like Steve Pinker's recounting of his first conference presentation, and tributes to some of the scholars who have founded the field. You have just a few more days to send us your own memories! Please send us your memories and materials by AUGUST 15.
In celebration of BUCLD's 40th annual meeting, we are requesting submissions of materials that we can put together in a special booklet commemorating the history of the conference and important individuals in the field.
We are particularly interested in brief paragraphs in tribute to founders of the field, and especially individuals who have passed away. Photos from former BUCLD meetings (as high-res as possible, please), memories of your own first (or most memorable) BUCLD experience, or other materials are also welcome.
We will need to have all submitted materials by AUGUST 15. Please email them to langconf(a)bu.edu<mailto:langconf@bu.edu>.
We cannot guarantee inclusion of all submitted materials, though we will do our best. We also reserve the right to make edits in submissions (for example, if we receive two tributes to the same individual we may combine these).
