Greetings! I'm writing in my role as the Director of Public Relations for BU Linguistics to invite you to various in-person and virtual events that the department is organizing this semester.

1. The BU Linguistics Colloquium Series will consist of four (in-person) colloquia. Each is free and open to the public (flyer attached; further information including titles and abstracts will be posted on our events calendar):
  • September 27, 2021 (9:30am-10:30am, MCS 157) - Sarah Phillips (New York University)
  • October 12, 2021 (9:30am-10:30am, location TBA) - Myriam Dali (Boston University)
  • October 25, 2021 (9:30am-10:30am, location TBA) - Laura Kalin (Princeton University)
  • November 15, 2021 (9:30am-10:30am, location TBA) - Marlyse Baptista (University of Michigan)
Questions can be directed to the co-chairs of the Colloquium Committee: Profs. Jon Barnes, Danny Erker, and Kate Lindsey.

2. BU will be co-hosting (with MIT and the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland) a Virtual Workshop on L3 Development After the Initial State (L3-AIS) on Oct. 1-2, 2021. Registration is free for all attendees. Further information can be found on the conference website.

3. BU will also be hosting the 46th Boston University Conference on Language Development (BUCLD 46) on Nov. 4-7, 2021, virtually via the Whova platform. Registration is free for all current students. Further information can be found on the conference website.
